Work experience prior to joining SFM:
Sonal brings to SFM more than 25 years of experience in financial services and over 15 years in senior accounting and finance leadership roles. Her background spans bank regulation, internal audit, and financial services consulting, followed by executive accounting leadership within the mortgage industry. She has led accounting operations, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, and system implementations for multi-branch, multi-state organizations, with a strong track record of improving controls, increasing efficiency, and scaling operations during periods of growth.
Role at SFM:
Sonal Shah joined the Stack Financial Management (SFM) team as our Controller. In this role, Sonal is responsible for the firm’s accounting functions, managing financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and payroll administration.
When not in the office:
When she’s not in the office, Sonal enjoys taking full advantage of Montana’s outdoors with her family including skiing, biking, running, and hiking. She values being actively involved in her community and regularly attends local and school events.
