Stack Financial Management (SFM) is searching for a top-tier Senior Accounting Professional with the desire to join a dedicated team who thrives in a high-energy work environment. This position will be responsible for numerous accounting related functions and is an excellent opportunity for someone that is committed to managing diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting activities of our two affiliated businesses, including the processing and recording of revenue, expenses, journal entries, and credit card activity in QuickBooks
  • Perform daily, month-end, and year-end accounting functions, ensuring they are completed timely and accurately
  • Perform payroll-related activities, including coordination with third-party processor
  • Work with the leadership team to create, manage and distribute timely financial reports
  • Evaluate and make improvements to accounting processes and internal controls while ensuring that practices comply with applicable regulations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel data
  • Interact with all company personnel, third-party service providers and vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Provide operational support when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, with CPA license preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years accounting experience, with background in public accounting preferred
  • Independent, organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience in QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, along with general awareness of regulatory requirements of payroll, business registration, workers compensation, and tax filing/payment activities
